Many people who have bought a Stepper in the last few years know Jesse. He is an incredible asset to our team, and is consistently recognized by our homeowners as a huge help their warranty experience. He is also recognized by our team at Stepper as a pleasure to work with, and an eager volunteer with company events.

two men smilingWhat do you do at Stepper?

I am a Warranty supervisor for the south half of the city. I am basically a carpenter/investigator/customer experience facilitator/scheduler. I make sure our homes match our customer and company expectations.

How long have you worked for Stepper?

It will be 3 years in July 2018.

What do you love about working at Stepper?

I love the atmosphere inside Stepper Homes, and I have a genuine appreciation for the people around me that make this whole process go smoothly as possible. Everyone has a great attitude. I love meeting new people and connecting on a personal level, I love having control over my schedule and decisions I make in the field. Lastly, I love the initiative Stepper has in giving back to our community, here and abroad.

How do you help our homeowners?

I help our homeowners by making them feel secure and safe in their new home. My job is dedicated to doing the right thing and having their interests in my mind at all times during our warranty process.

Do you have a favorite example, story or project where you helped make a difference?

The first one that comes to mind is our travels to El Salvador to build homes for people who really need them. This is as close to a life changing event as you can get, and to come back home and share their stories with homeowners is a really cool feeling.

Another one that really sticks out in my head, is a few months back, my manager received a call from a 20 year Stepper homeowner. They had a concern with something in their home, but instead of telling them that it was fine or normal, he sent me out to take a look and see if there was anything I could do to help out. Long story short, it took me an hour to repair something and afterwards I had the opportunity to sit down and hear about their build story and see all the old pictures they took. It was amazing to see their passion for their home so many years later!

What else are you passionate about? what else should we know about you?

I love wood working! Small or big projects, I love them all. There are a lot of amazing artists out there, and I strive to make great and unique art.
