Sales

I want something in my home that is in the showhome. Why isn't that item included in the price of my home?

All of our homes include some of the best standard specifications in our market place today. However, we could not possibly include everything that any individual buyer may want to choose. We have to stay responsible to our market by keeping our prices in line with our competition. All of our customers have the opportunity to add countless extras to their home during our selection process.

Why can't the exterior of my house look like the brochure? (after being sent to architectural controls)

Architectural Controls is a third party control system mostly with the land developer. They are responsible in keeping the integrity and value of the community at the highest level possible. One way of doing this is by ensuring all of the homes do not look the same. This helps ensure the area is not, what is commonly referred to, as a "Cookie Cutter Community".

Can I still purchase a home even if I haven't sold my current one?

By using our GUARANTEED SALES PROGRAM, you can purchase a home while we help you to sell yours. Please click here for more information.

Planning

Why do I have to go to so many places to make my selections?

The suppliers showroom display and provide many more selection options than what could be presented at one time and place. Visiting the suppliers directly gives you the opportunity to speak with a product expert with no pressure to select everything at one appointment.

What changes to my plans can I make, and when?

  • During the sales process, you may make changes as described by your salesperson for the area; Stepper has many different models with optional layouts that are available.
  • During the planning process, smaller more detail oriented changes and selections can be made with your Planning Coordinator.
  • All changes must be finalized prior to the signing off of your plans at your final planning meeting.

Construction

Can I visit my home during construction?

Yes you may, but you can only visit the site during showhome hours. You must check in at the showhome and abide by our site safety rules.

Who do I call if I see something wrong during construction?

Please call the Sales Representative for the area, and he/she will look into the item(s) in question and get back to you within two business days.

Service

What is the customer service policy after I move in? When and how often will you check in on my home?

Our Service Department will contact each customer approximately 30 days after possession to ensure any items that were on back-order or still to be completed have been addressed. This call is also to ensure that any questions or concerns our customers have are addressed and to remind customers of our Service Policies and Procedures. All customers are asked to please follow all of the Service Policies and Procedures as outlined in our Homeowners Manual to ensure timely completion of any required service for their home. Follow up from the Service Department will be on an as required basis depending on what is needed with each home. The next contact from our Service Department will be at approximately 11 months as a reminder to forward any year end concerns to our Service Department.
