If you’ve made it this far, it’s no secret that Rudy Stepper and all of us here at Stepper Custom Homes are passionate about homebuilding, but a community isn’t just built with homes. Here’s what we’ve done to help make Calgary a better place to live beyond the obvious.
The Mustard Seed Calgary is a non-profit, humanitarian organization that answers the call of the inner-city’s less fortunate. Every month, a group of Stepper employees donate their time to The Mustard Seed to help in preparing and serving food to those who need our help. We like to think this effort helps to build Calgary in a whole other way.

There’s no question that there’s an incredible need for Trade professionals in Alberta thanks to the rapid growth. Stepper decided to help the problem by joining forces with Bowness High School to create the Stepper Trade Centre of Excellence. By partnering with Bowness High, we hope to educate our youth about the trades and develop skilled profession workers for the future.
The partnership started a few years ago with the help of our trade workers who donated their time and materials to build a charity house. The profits from the sale of the home were put back into developing the Trade Centre of Excellence and strengthened the relationship between Stepper and the future building industry. Because of this success, Stepper Custom Homes and Bowness High have received the Calgary Educational Partnership Foundation 2006 Mayor's Excellence Award for Excellence in small business programs.

It’s no secret that we love to help others and when kids are involved we really love to lend more than just a hand. This annual event has motorcycle riders from Calgary and Edmonton touring through the Canadian Rockies in an effort to raise money for Kids with Cancer. Each rider represents one amazing child in their ride to help them face their medical and emotional challenges.
The Kids with Cancer Society provides more program support than all other children’s cancer charities combined. Not only does the Society provide essential practical and psychosocial support to children with cancer and their families, but they also provide valuable funding for childhood cancer research and the long-term effects of the disease in children.
