Today's solid foundations have their roots in the past.

Leaving small town Germany for Canada in 1953, Rudy Stepper arrived in Calgary with seven dollars to his name, and almost the same number of English words in his vocabulary. However, Rudy did arrive rich in one very important way – a passion for fine woodworking and a natural ingenuity for building anything from wood. After Rudy and his wife Erma built their first house, it wasn't long until that one house turned into 10, then 50, and consequently, the start of Stepper Custom Homes.

For over half a century, Rudy's passion has been passed down to all who build with us. It's our special brand of welcoming family service, exacting craftsmanship and continued innovation that has kept us a trusted leader and custom home builder; the solid foundation our customers know they can lay their dreams on. The shelves of awards that line our halls are remarkable achievements, but it's the thousands of happy home owners who are the real proof of our success.

HOST is a customer satisfaction program unique to Stepper Custom Homes' building process. Once your home is purchased, you'll be introduced to the three individuals who will be your dedicated HOSTs while your home comes to life. Each member of your Home Owner Satisfaction Team represents a main stage in the home building process – Sales, Construction and Service – and they'll be there to guide you through every step. From the reviewing of initial plans and specs to the presentation of your custom built home on possession day, your HOSTs will ensure an enjoyable, confusion-free process.
